When industrial production can no longer convey nuance or feeling, we chose to go against the current. We work closely with artisans and local communities in Mae Sot, where each Pla Tapien is handcrafted from paper pulp and talc powder—natural materials—then carefully shaped, polished, and refined by hand, one piece at a time, by Khun Santi Khruea-Yoo. No two pieces are ever the same, and we embrace these differences as the true charm of handcrafted work. This is the beauty of Wabi-Sabi—a beauty born from real materials, the passage of time, and the human touch behind every creation.
